Great Hunter won the G1 Breeders Futurity at Keeneland, was second in the G2 Del Mar Futurity, the G2 Best Pal S., and third in the G1 Breeders Cup Juvenile and the G3 Hollywood Juvenile. He was never off the board in seven starts, and was ranked at 123 pounds on the 2006 Experimental H.

PA-Bred Champion Two Year Old Filly

She won three of her final four starts of the year, and capped her season with a five length score in the Blue Mountain Juvenile S. at Penn National, earning $47,010.

She repeats as a Pennsylvania divisional champion, winning four of 11 starts, including a win in the Foxy J. G. S. at Philadelphia Park, and seconds in the Miss Woodford H. at Monmouth, the Ambassador of Luck H. at Philadelphia Park, and the Wonders Delight at Penn National.

Turf Horse of the Year

This veteran won three of seven starts — the G1-NSA New York Turf Writers at Saratoga, the Flatterer S. at Philadelphia Park, and the Marcellus Frost at Percy Warner, while earning $204,900. 2006 was his second consecutive PA-Bred championship season.

PA-Bred Claiming Horse of the Year

THOMAS N. REIGLE
Total Awards Earned - $139,206
For over twenty years, Reigle and his wife Ann operated Reigle Heir Farm in Grantville, standing several of the state’s leading stallions while there. It was mainly through stallion awards earned by the offspring of them that Reigle was able to collect $129,339 in stallion awards, and another $9,867 in breeder awards.

One of the leading commercial breeders in North America and headquartered in Malvern, Chester County, Brushwood was the breeder of the earners of $998,659 last year, headed by Master Command ($466,098. Another Brushwood-bred is Hard Spun, undefeated to this point in his four race career, and an early favorite for the 2007 Kentucky Derby.

Pennsylvania’s Stallion of the Year

For the second time in the past three years, he led the list of Pennsylvania stallions in progeny earnings with at least one crop of Pennsylvania-Breds at the races. Prior to his relocation to Castle Rock Farm for 2007, he stood at Reigle Heir, then Regal Heir Farm, in Grantville.
